Short Summary: Summary:As the Funding lead, you will be instrumental in securing financial resources to support our mission of climate resilience and climate justice. Your role will involve developing and implementing effective diverse funding strategies (grants, crowdfunding, corporate and small business sponsorships), cultivating relationships with potential donors, and overseeing various funding initiatives to sustain our impactful projects.
Volunteer Role:Formulate and execute comprehensive funding plans to meet annual goals, identify and cultivate relationships with potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donors, and fundraising events, lead the development of compelling grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and fundraising appeals, collaborate with the executive team and program staff to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and initiatives, monitor and evaluate funding activities to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with donor requirements, maintain accurate records of donor interactions, contributions, and grant applications, represent CRC at networking events, conferences, and community outreach activities to raise awareness and support for our mission.
Criteria:Deep expertise in grant writing, fundraising, development, or related fields preferred but not required, demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate our mission and impact to diverse audiences, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners, in-depth understanding of CRC's mission, goals, and approach to climate resilience and climate justice, commitment to aligning funding efforts with the principles of equity, inclusion, and social justice.
