Volunteers deliver information flyers to residents’ homes informing the residents of the food drive and reminding them that RSFDF volunteers will come to their homes the following Saturday and Sunday to pick up their food donations. Volunteers return to the homes to collect the donations, pack and process them for delivery to food banks across Scarborough.

Volunteer Role:

1. Volunteers deliver information flyers to residents’ homes informing residents of the food drive and reminding them that RSFD volunteers will come to their homes the following Saturday and Sunday to pick up their food donations. Volunteers canvass residents’ homes for food donations and process donations in preparation for delivery to food banks and community organizations. 2. Volunteers work with adult supervisors and always travel in groups. We always meet in a school close to the target area we're canvassing to begin each shift, and we return to that meeting spot for dismissal at the end of the shift.
