Short Summary:Tree Planting Captains
Summary:The Tree Planting Captain Program allows volunteers to get hands-on restoration experience at tree planting and stewardship events. As a Planting Captain you will: Attend City of Toronto public planting and stewardship events Assist City staff in welcoming planting and stewardship volunteers at events Assist with event-related activities including planting demonstrations Learn more about native trees, shrubs and invasive species Learn different restoration techniques Help create a positive environment Communicate with volunteers and report concerns to staff Acquire documented volunteer hours (if requested) No expertise is required and all tools and training are provided.
